WAV Player for Gmail™ is a free Chrome add-on developed by Franklin Strube. This add-on adds an embedded player within Gmail™ messages that contain voicemail audio files in the WAV format. It allows users to play the voicemail messages directly within the email, without having to download them.

This extension is particularly useful for those who receive their voicemail messages via email in WAV format. It automatically inserts an HTML tag if the email contains a .wav file attachment. However, it is important to note that GSM encoded WAV files are not supported by the Google Chrome browser. If you encounter a grayed-out audio player with a time of 0:00, you are most likely running into this issue.

WAV Player for Gmail™ has been reported to work well with Chromiumon Ubuntu 10.04, Chromeon Windows XP, and Chromedev on Mac OS X.
